In today's STEM challenge, 4H came up with a variety of creative solutions to build a table using only paper and cardboard to hold as many books as possible. Kason, Kahlei, Charlee and Elsie created the sturdiest table, holding up 11 heavy books! Well done to all.

Wollongong Excursion On Wednesday we had a fantastic camp. We went to Nowra Fleet museum that was were we saw all the planes and that was pretty good. Next we hopped on the bus and went to the Minnamurra Rainforest. Ray talked about the plants and animals. After we went on a walk and then did some activities with Ray and Vanessa. We had to find bugs in soil and make a rainforest out of sticks and leaves. Then we hopped on the bus again and drove to wollongong Surf Leisure Resort and we got into our cabins and sorted out our beds.I was in a cabin with Macy and Elsie. I got the whole double bed to myself. After a while we had dinner which was a bread roll salad and roast chicken. After dinner we hopped on the bus and went to Flipout. We got our socks and jumped. At flipout there were so many trampolines. When we started to jump Hayden hurt his ankle so on Friday he went home. After Flipout we headed back to our cabins and went to bed. The next day we had breakfast and then played outside. After that we went to the Nan Tien Temple and Bob taught as a lot about Buddhism. We went into the big shrine were there were thousands of Buddhas and we had to take off our shoes. After Bob talked to us we went up a big hill and we got to hit the Gratitude Bell. We hopped onto the bus and went back to camp. The teachers told us to get our swimmers on then we went swimming at the pool in the resort. It was heated and was so much fun. After that we went on the bus to go to the Science Centre and Rhys and Matt showed us experiments with water and showed us a cool 360 video of our Galaxy, it was awesome. Then hopped onto the bus and went back to camp and we played cricket. Then we went Ten Pin Bowling. In my team there was Matilda, Charli, Kynan, James and myself. Matilda won for our team. After that we went to sleep and woke up got dressed and had breakfast. Then hopped onto the bus and went to JAMBEROO! At Jamberoo I went on the Storm 2 times. Funnel web 1 time, it was so much fun. Last wednesday we went on the best camp ever! On wednesday we left school at 8:00am to Wollongong! On the drive there were beautiful views. The first place we went WAS THE NOWRA FLEET MUSEUM, we got there at 10:00am. There were planes, medals and helicopters and really come fake people that were holding stuff and climbing .There was also a fake helicopter that you can go inside of. Second we went to Minnamurra Rainforest Walk. We listened to funny stories one was a dude was sitting in the back conner and kept looking under his seat AND NOT LISTENING THE LADY ASKED “ ANY QUESTIONS?” SURPRISINGLY THE DUDE ASKED “ IS THIS REAL?” and the lady looked under the dudes seat and said “ Yes! “ the dude jumped off his seat, a diamond python was under his seat. At the very end we saw a diamond python! Than we went to Wollongong Surf Leisure Resort. We had an amazing dinner then we went to Flip Out but let's talk about dinner! I can’t remember what we had but we had ice-cream after and I had two scoops! Now it is time to talk about Flip Out there were a punching bag but we jumped on it >:) and we had a swing on it as well. I also jumped into the foam pit , I got lots of foam on me. There were a basketball hoop and Kahlei and I tried and i got 3 and Kahlei got 3 as well until I missed then so did Kahlei so Kahlei was mostly copying me but eh she’s my friend. Guess what we did next day? Here’s a hint Buddha Did you guess? We went to the Nan Tien Temple! Bob our guide took us to the main shrine, there were so many little buddhas in the room. We had to take off our shoes. I don’t like it when I’m not where I want to sleep so yeah I was uncomfortable. Science space was SUPER cool! I brought a globe squishy, growing crystals and a crystal. We watched a really cool video but I got super dizzy also we found pictures like a dot to dot. It was amazing! There were super cool stuff like I’m the weight of ………. earth . I found it weird. Then we got Ice-cream on Flagstaff hill. I had hundreds and thousands on mine. It was super yummy. We also saw some whales. Then we went to sleep But we left right as we woke up to not go to Flipout to go to Jamberoo! It was SUPER FUN! I went to the wave pool, and then I went to the lazy river and I got super wet because I went under mostly all of the mini waterfalls and there also was a big fish on the ground and it scared me but then I got used to it being there. Then I went to go get lunch I LOVED THE CHIPS c: then after eating I went to this log walk, I was scared because it looked hard but I ran on it super fast and I hurt my foot after I jumped in because it was shallow. Then I lost my friends and went to get my clothes and got changed. THEN I WENT HOME TO SEE MY MUM I WAS SUPER HAPPY but also sad because the best camp was over. :c thank you for everyone for making this camp possible.
